Orlando Pirates have ended feverish transfer speculation by announcing the arrival of four exciting new signings.
Orlando Pirates announce four new players
Via the official Pirates website:
“After weeks of speculation and countless headlines across the football social media landscape, Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm the signings of Mthetheleli Mthiyane (Stellenbosch FC), Sbangani Zulu (Richards Bay), as well as Bohale Ngwato and Ghampani Lungu (both from Siwelele).
“The arrival of Mthiyane sees defender Thabiso Lebitso moving in the opposite direction. He will join the Maroons as part of a swap deal.
“Further details regarding these new signings will be shared in due course.”
Is Ndlovu next?
Orlando Pirates will reportedly announce the arrival of winger Siyanda Ndlovu from Golden Arrows next.
With four goals and six assists from 25 appearances in the league last term, he’s been in demand.
Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis and Relebohile Mofokeng are already at the club, so there’s now a seeming oversupply of wide attackers on the books.
Ndlovu’s imminent arrival could be the clearest sign yet that 21-year-old Mofokeng’s final form is in the number 10 role.

Co-hosts Mexico, ranked 14th in the world by FIFA, will be eager to get their campaign off to a winning start against a Bafana Bafana side ranked 60th-best on the planet.
Mexico vs South Africa kicks off on Thursday, 11 June at 21:00 (SA time).
