‘From the devil’: Peet Viljoen slams Trump after ICE arrest

Just weeks after praising him, Peet Viljoen has lashed out at US President Donald Trump, whom he has accused of doing the “devil’s work”. The disbarred lawyer and his reality TV wife, Mel Viljoen, broke their silence on their recent arrest and detention on criminal charges related to theft and overstaying their visa.

The Viljoens packed up their life in South Africa to move to the US, citing “racial persecution”. Like Trump, Mel and Peet claimed that there was a “white genocide” in the country.

They are expected to be deported to South Africa.

PEET VILJOEN SLAMS PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP

According to content creator Bianca van Wyk, Peet Viljoen has done a U-turn on his comments about Donald Trump.

Where he once praised the controversial president over his claims about South Africa – which were labelled “disinformation” by authorities – Peet has now backtracked.

Peet claimed that he was “very disappointed” in Trump and his administration, going so far as to say that he and his wife, Mel, were “mistaken” about their views.

The disbarred lawyer – who labelled his ICE detention centre as “Hitler’s Auschwitz on steroids” – claimed that Trump’s work was “from the devil”.

He said, “At least Hitler killed people; Trump derives pleasure from torture”.

Peet Viljoen sang a different tune just months ago.

He said in a video posted on TikTok in December: “Mel and I are happy in America. We’re going to stay here. We don’t have to explain to anyone if we have green cards. I regularly speak about [US President Donald] Trump. Everyone knows about white genocide. I’ve done my part”.

His wife, Mel, previously said: “Trump is right about everything. I’m from South Africa, where there are race laws against white people and where white people are getting killed”.

She added, “News doesn’t want to write about it.”
