ITHUBA, operators of the national lottery in South Africa, have confirmed that the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot was won on Wednesday evening.
One lucky player scooped R2 662 201.20 in the Lotto Plus 1 draw, correctly predicting the six numbers drawn.
Those numbers were 12, 29, 31, 37, 40 and 47
Meanwhile, the bonus ball – which is not required for the jackpot – was 54.
The identity of the winner has not yet been revealed as at the time of publishing.
Meanwhile, the Lotto jackpot as well as the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot weren’t won.
The Lotto numbers were 3, 9, 15, 32, 36 and 49 with the bonus ball being 40.
The Lotto Plus 2 numbers were 12, 27, 32, 41, 49 and 58 with the bonus ball being 11.
Following the latest wins, the Lotto jackpots have now been reset for the next draw, scheduled for Saturday, 2 May.
The Lotto jackpot now stands at a guaranteed R96 million, with the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot at an estimated R500 000 and the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot at an estimated R3.5 million.
ITHUBA has reminded winners to sign the back of their tickets and present valid identification when claiming prizes, while urging players to play responsibly.
