The Mark Carney government just gave raises to MPs. Now there are reports they might consider raising taxes to pay for the military. In what world does this make sense? Wouldn’t it be prudent for the MPs to either refuse the raise or give the money to military expenses. They could also limit their lifetime pensions. That way we could have enough money in preparation for our NATO commitments and others. And if you’re dealing with funding, perhaps I can suggest you defund the CBC and stop Carney’s ridiculous goal to have them enshrined. They’re almost as important as he is. Read More
