For years we have been forced to listen to green nonsense and dire predictions from the likes of Greta Thunberg, Steven Guilbeault, Al Gore and other “prophets of doom” that the world must stop burning hydrocarbons “or else we’re all going to die!” And the sooner the better! However, these same prophets of doom have displayed their utter hypocrisy with their cries against the embargo of oil to Cuba and the curtailment of oil and gas shipments from the Persian Gulf. Instead of celebrating the immanent realization of their utopian dream of net zero being accomplished, they are denouncing those they see as responsible for stoppages — Thunberg has been in the news stridently denouncing the oil embargo of Cuba. Yesterday it was “disaster is just around the corner,” and today it still is “disaster is just around the corner” for exactly the opposite reason! In other words, they speak out both sides of their mouths at the same time. Clearly their decades-long crusade against the greatest innovation and exploitation of any resource (hydrocarbons) in the history of humanity — since the discovery of fire — has been completely wrong-headed, is not backed up by real science or human experience, and they need to be honest enough to say it out loud.
