The URC playoffs race is going down to the final weekend of the regular season with five teams fighting it out for four spots, and so there will be plenty of attention placed on the various matches involving SA teams, which kick off with the Stormers in action on Friday night.
As it stands, Leinster and the Bulls have now joined Glasgow Warriors and the Stormers in booking their places in the knock-out stage, but the Cape side will be hoping to jump back into top spot.
That leaves the Lions, Munster, Cardiff, Ulster and Connacht competing for the four remaining spots with just four points separating the five of them.
Meanwhile, Glasgow are back on top of the table, having jumped above the Stormers by claiming a 40-17 bonus point victory over Cardiff at Scotstoun on Friday night.
With Munster (51 pts) and Cardiff (50 pts) also on the losing side, the Lions only dropped one spot to fifth (53 pts), leaving all three teams in contention for home quarter-finals going into the final pool round next week. The Sharks held onto the 10th spot on the table with 41 points.
